At DCI Industries, we believe in clear, upfront pricing. This ensures you always know what to expect and avoids any surprises when work is carried out.

Standard Service Rates

Service Type

Qualified Electrician / Solar Technician

Trade Assistant / Non-Tradesperson

Rate (AUD)

$140 per hour

$100 per hour

Minimum Charge

All service work is subject to:

- Minimum charge of 4 hours labour, plus

- Travel costs (see below)

Travel Charges

Travel is calculated as:

- $3.50 per kilometre

- Calculated from our office to your site and return

Accommodation & Long-Distance Travel

For remote or long-distance projects:

- Travel exceeding 1,000 km (round trip) will incur 1 night accommodation

- Every additional 500 km will incur an additional night

Standard accommodation charge:

- $450 per night

This covers:

- Accommodation

- Meals

- Travel-related expenses

- Living away from home allowance

We always aim to use the most cost-effective travel method, which may include driving or flying depending on the project.

Materials & Equipment

All projects will incur additional costs for:

- Materials

- Equipment hire (e.g. trenchers, excavators)

- Consumables

These will be quoted or approved prior to work being carried out wherever possible.

Warranty & Repairs

We stand behind our systems and workmanship and will always support customers through the warranty process.

In line with Australian Consumer Law (including Section 274, where applicable), warranty-related repairs are typically not charged directly to the customer where the issue is covered by a valid manufacturer or supplier warranty.

Instead:

- We will assess and confirm whether the issue qualifies as a warranty claim

- Where applicable, costs are recovered from the manufacturer, importer, or supplier

- This may include labour, travel, and associated service costs under applicable legislation

Important:

- If the issue is not covered under warranty (e.g. misuse, external damage, out-of-warranty equipment), standard service rates will apply

- In some cases, a service call may be required to diagnose the issue before warranty eligibility is confirmed

- Any non-covered costs will be communicated prior to proceeding wherever possible

Existing Customers

For our valued existing clients:

- Labour may be charged at reduced rates (at our discretion)

- Site conditions

- Accessibility

- Project complexity

- We reserve the right to:

- Charge in full

- Charge partially

- Waive charges where appropriate
